Uni‐Select Announces the Winners of the Supplier Awards in Canada

Boucherville, October 24, 2014 – Uni‐Select Inc. announces its Canadian Supplier Award winners. This collection of awards recognizes their achievements, innovations, and outstanding service. Showing excellent creativity skills and accomplishing groundbreaking work in the automotive aftermarket, the honorees were celebrated during the Supplier Awards ceremony held yesterday at Uni‐Select’s National Supplier Meeting in Toronto, ON.

Uni‐Select has decided to officially commemorate its suppliers in order to show them that the Corporation is truly appreciative and grateful of the hard work they put into providing the best service and that it does not go unrecognized.

The Diamond Award is the most prestigious prize of the Supplier Awards. The prize is awarded in recognition of dependable and detail‐oriented service to the supplier having given the best support to Uni‐Select customers. This award recognizes the quality of sales tools, fill rate, lead time, inventory management, service (training, tech support) and manpower support amongst others. It is attributed to a supplier who offers quality products and sustainable and efficient service. This year, Tenneco is the recipient of the Diamond Award.

The Innovator Award is awarded in acknowledgment of a product or program innovation. This award recognizes the contribution of a supplier to market development, sales growth and marketing program by introducing an innovative product or service. This year’s winner is Raybestos.

The next award is called The Golden Ally. Three prizes are awarded in recognition for sales and marketing achievement. The first category, Sales tools for independent jobbers and installers, recognizes a supplier who provided an innovative sales tool designed to help jobbers sell to a shop owner or to help installers explain and sell a maintenance or service to a customer. SMP Blue Streak won this award as well as the Marketing campaign of the year, which is awarded to a supplier who stood out with its marketing campaign. The campaign had to be focused on developing sales at the installers’ level to support them in offering the best solutions to their consumers. The third category, Training and technical support, represents a supplier who provided efficient and innovative training material designed to simplify tech’s education on installation or specialized maintenance. This year, this is Tenneco’s second prize.

The Tech‐Savvy Awards consist of two prizes awarded in recognition of leading edge, added‐value technology. Beck/Arnley receives the first one, Business Technology, awarded to a supplier who achieved an outstanding performance in supporting business operations thanks to IT. The second prize, New technology, is awarded to Pico Canada, a supplier who has developed and implemented the most userfriendly and innovative IT program to support the sales development at the independent jobber or installer level.

In recognition of their sales growth, three suppliers were given the Achiever Award. These winners’ sales growth performances were the highest ones among all Uni‐Select suppliers in their respective categories. Dorman distinguished itself in the Automotive application parts. PPG and BE Pressure Supply Inc. stood out in the Paint and body equipment and Tools and equipment categories, respectively.

Uni‐Select is proud to partner with such amazing suppliers to provide its customers with the best product offering and service.
